I was just curious since spiders have so many eyes if they were capable of hearing. Maybe the eyes make up for not hearing???? Any ideas???
Are Spiders Able to Hear???
To the best of my knowledge, spiders are not capable of hearing in the same sense that we do, but they are extremely sensitive to vibrations. Some spiders in the family Anyphaenidae are known as 'buzzing spiders because of the buzzing sound the males produce by drumming its abdomen on a leaf in order to catch the attention of female spiders.
Very interesting. Thank you.
