My daughter came across this little beauty on a family trip to Killbear Provincial Park in Ontario. I have done lots of searching on my own to identify it to no avail. Any help would be appreciated :)

This 'little beauty' appears to be a larva of a gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar; Lepidoptera: Lymantriidae); a very destructive pest - see http://tinyurl.com/2dakfv6

Thanks suunto for the response. Good to finally know what it is. They may be destructive pests, but it is a beautiful creature nonetheless :)
