I live in my dads basement and find these all the time. I was curious as to what type of spider it is. The body is probably .5-.75 inches long. Thank you for your help.

Tons of these in my basement
This is a wolf spider (family Lycosidae), they often enter buildings during their searches for prey. They are active hunters that do not spin a capture web; large specimens are capable of inflicting a painful (but not dangerous) bite if mishandled.
