Please confirm the ID. I think it is the SPIKED ORB-WEB spider (Gasteracantha cancriformis). She(?) has a web that almost connect to a large nephia gold-web garden spider. They seem to tolerate each other.

Indeed it is Gasteracantha cancriformis - see http://tinyurl.com/264r6uj for detailed information. This spider has a very extensive geographic range, and its color pattern can be quite variable. However, the six abdominal spines always are characteristic.
