I keep buying eggs too! Mostly on BYC. The funny thing is that you buy the kind you like or are interested in, then they (the breeders) have some sort of difficulty. Like, the girls stopped laying, or there was a rooster in the hen house! That happened when I ordered some Cuckoo Marans. She e-mailed me and said she went to collect the eggs and now she was not sure that all the eggs were Cuckoo! I told her send them right along! Thats how I got my really big BCM!
The breeders are always kind. But I get "extras" of other breeds, and they don't always send them on time. Thus promoting me to buy another incubator, to start hatches at different times. (That's OK, no one needs the dinning room anyway!)
It is so much fun!
1) get eggs,
2) hatch eggs
3) have husband build new coops!
How Many of You have won Ebay Eggs?
Three is'nt too bad giving you heard movement in maybe four . When they piped , my M I L opened the hole just a little bigger and if they didn't get out before they started drying , she helped them . Most made it but I'd be afraid to try . They are cute , but I don't want to see them until they're a day old . Too traumatic for me .Dmail me that info on that guy we talked about . I'll see if I can get something going .
Your chick TV look remarkably like my chick TV love it :-)). Just looks like you have it tuned to a different channel than mine (your chicks vs mine LOL) I saw the little thumbnail picture and had to chick it up to see right away. Glad to see I am not the only one using a large aquarium.
Those chicks are just darling. And so are the older ones. Its great that they all get along together.
Yep Same story just a different Channel, LOL!!!
The Chicks get along just fine with the older ones. They just had to learn to submit to a gentle peck on the head every once in a while from the older two. It just remindsthe liite ones who's the big Kid and who's the little kid!! Its so funny now watching the little ones squatting whenever a bigger one approaches, getting ready to be reminded! All this is what the "pecking Order" is all about, no harm , just a set of rules that all poultry are born with!!
They are cuties . I really like them when they dry and get fuzzy .
