I found this amazing "thing" wrapped around a branch of my blueberry bush. The "thing" is elongated, but it was wrapped like a rubber band around a ponytail. It moved much like a cocoon when disturbed. My cousin and I thought it may be a preying mantis cocoon that never matured properly. I am clueless. And, yes, I did think it was a fungus at first too, but it moved when I stretched it out.
