I live in central NY and I found this insect running out of my apartment and apparently there has been 3 different ones found.

This is a house centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata), a cosmopolitan species often found indoors. They are active predators on other small arthropods, primarily insects, and their presence usually indicates that there are insects in the building.
