I have a few seed pods that I don't think will ripen because of lack of sun and time. Has anyone have a system/procedure to ripen in the house/garage or any place other than outside?

It is best to leave the pod on the stem growing. You will read about people bringing them inside for ripening, but that is only because there is a threatening frost that might kill the stem before the seeds mature. I don't think you have that problem in zone 9b...
