I planted my heavenly blue morning glories this spring in a pot as usual. The vine is over the roof and we get only one or two flowers at a time this year. Usually we have many more. Does that mean we gave it too much fertilizer? (12-12-12)
Why no flowers?
Welcome, Kay!
Heavenly Blue is an Ipomoea tricolor cultivar. Is it getting full sun? You could try using Bloom Booster by MiracleGro. I swear by that fertilizer to get lots of blooms! It might also start blooming for you now that it is Fall. Some of the I. purpurea and tricolors prefer the cooler temps, instead of the heat of summer. Thought Heavenly Blue bloomed all summer here in Florida for me. I am thinking you may start seeing a lot more blooms very soon! Keep us posted on how it is doing!
