I came across this one in the Pocono mountains this week end. Can anyone tell me what this bug is? I've never seen this one before.
A new bug for me
This is a young nymph of an assassin bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Reduviidae); likely in the genus Zelus - see http://tinyurl.com/lr3ejl for a slightly older example.
Cool! This is a good bug right?
Basically yes, as they are general predators on other small arthropods. However, as they are non-discriminatory, they may eat some other 'good guys' as well...
Thank you for all the info. :)
