Need spider ID

Chesapeake, VA

These guys have been invading my room recently. Usually spot at least 1 or 2 running along the wall every day. Maybe a momma just had babies? They look pretty interesting, was just curious as to what they were exactly.

I'm guessing but it looks like some sort of jumping spider to me.

This is indeed a jumping spider (family Salticidae). The image is too fuzzy to be absolutely certain, but it resembles Phidippus audax (see http://tinyurl.com/2cl7vot), a very common and widespread species.

It definitely looks like Phidippus audax. They're neat little spiders. I love how they use their eyesight so well and track me when I get close. I'm not against a few of them being in the house to control the other bugs, but there are just so many!

Thank you all for the quick responses. You sure know your stuff.

I don't mind these ones in the house either. Its the big wolf spiders and funnel spiders that I don't like.
