This little one just loves the undersides of zinnias and daisy-type flowers as well as hydrangeas. It reminds me of a crab. Can anyone tell me what species it is?
CLOSED: Please help ID this tiny, crab-like spider
This is a crab spider (family Thomisidae). There are at least three species that can exhibit a similar color pattern, but I believe that this specimen most likely is Mecaphesa celer, known as the swift crab spider - see http://tinyurl.com/24kyg8b for an example.
