Sadly, I couldn't get to the camera.
This bug was about bumblebee sized, maybe a wee bit larger.
And bumblebee shaped - squat and round.
It had a long "beak", pointed more downward than front.
And something resembling a "tail".
It was drinking from the same plants the Hummingbirds come to (agastache rugosa, "Black and Blue" salvia, etc.)

I totally forgot about the anthers.
I didn't grow up in this part of the country and the sight of this thing just completely blew my mind!
And now I can answer someone else if they get blown too!
