Solomon's seal - when are seeds ripe?

I have mostly soft blue berries on my solomon's seal. I was going to wait until they shriveled, but one stalk broke and turned brown. Wondering if the seeds are viable, as it seems that the "fruit", i.e. berries are ripe.
