CLOSED: Verification sought - Is this a Spicebush Swallowtail?

Columbus, GA(Zone 8a)

I did my research and am pretty confident that this is a Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly.

Am I correct?

This also could be a black morph of the eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly, Papilio glaucus - see http://tinyurl.com/2fcpm4u for an image. Compare carefully with an image of a spicebush swallowtail (Papilio troilus) at http://tinyurl.com/2e7lbvo

Here is a butterfly from my yard several days ago.

helenchild's butterfly is a female black morph of the eastern tiger swallowtail, Papilio glaucus - see http://tinyurl.com/2fvdrpt for a Florida example.

Thank you.
Would this be something different?

This is a yellow morph of the eastern tiger swallowtail, Papilio glaucus. This is the color pattern that most people associate with this species.

Thank you. Now I know what I was looking at!!

I have really been into the butterflies this summer and it's difficult to tell the black morph and the spice bush apart. I have books and look online but when they flutter by so fast or fly away at my aproach it's difficult. Thanks suunto, again! I should of checked this Bugfiles on daves Garden out a long time ago.

Thanks, all.

I am confident that mine is a black morph of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, not a Spicebush Swallowtail. In fact, this evening I saw a yellow morph of the ETS, but it didn't hang around long enough for me to get a pic.

...some Native American Indian tribes referred to this full harvest moon as The Black Butterfly Moon...doubtful whether they differentiated between P.glaucus, or P.troilus..??
