Hope it's a Luna Larva

Another poster identified as the larva of a luna. Sure hope this is one. I adore Luna Moths. Just never saw anything so BRIGHT GREEN. and quite huge for a caterpillar. About as long as my middle finger and as big around. you can see how fat he is by the hose he is crawling on. He is also very slow, and I suspect a bird got him before he got where he was going. Hope not.

I think this is a Polyphemus moth larvae, Antheraea polyphemus. The oblique yellow lines pass through the spiracles on this caterpillar, where on the Luna, the yellow lines pass between the spiracles, closer to the division of each segment. Also, Luna usually has a stripe lengthwise just below the spiracles. Luna:
