Last year I got 2 of these lovelies. They spent the summer in pots and came indoors for my zone 4 winter. I knew nothing about their culture so tried to keep them as regular houseplants. About mid winter the foliage failed so I set them aside and figured they had died. But after resting for a few weeks they grew new leaves and were back to blooming. I planted them in the ground in mostly shade for the summer. They loved it there and look beautiful now. Can anyone tell me about what kind of bulb they grow from? Should I divide them when I dig them? When should they be put to rest for awhile? They appear to sprout from small balls of some kind. How deep should they be when I replant? I have 2 clumps now, would like to make a bunch more. Any info would be appreciated.
