I was staring at my plumeria today and found this little guy on my flower. As I got closer it started to run away. Even when I pointed my camera from far away it stayed alert and tried to go to the other side of whatever it was standing on in order to get away from me.
This was taken in Burbank, California ( Close to the hills ) in the San Fernando Valley. ( 15 minutes away from Downtown Los Angeles ) around 1pm

I found this one on my Plumeria.
This is a nymph of an assassin bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Reduviidae); general predators on other small arthropods - see http://tinyurl.com/3ygekbd for a similar example.
