I live in Port Saint Lucie, FL and came home one night to find 2 of these guys on the outside wall near my front door. The one in the picture has a smaller abdomen than the other one. I would say they were probably about 1.5-2 inches long. If I left out any info, just ask and I'll do my best to answer, thanks.
This male spider (note the enlarged pedipalps) could be a wolf spider (family Lycosidae) - see http://tinyurl.com/yfmn76a. The one with the larger abdomen likely was a female.
