Found today on side of house. It's sac is as wide in dia as a dime with two horns and design pattern. Sac is very light cream color and height is almost 1/2 in. Eight legs are very light with dark brown stripes and spiney hairs. Reminds us of a crawdad or something. We're in Colorado high country. (would have sent pic but your image insert button does'nt work)
CLOSED: Horny backed spider?
Have a look at a cat-face spider (Araneus gemmoides) at http://tinyurl.com/pbgpw to see if it resembles your specimen.
THAT'S IT! Thank you for the quick reply. Glad to know it is not poisonous too!
