Hello there, I recently had a very peculiar looking spider on the wall in my bathroom, and I was wondering if anybody had an idea about what type of spider it is.

Very flat spider on my wall (UK)
Possibly a Harvestmen: http://bugguide.net/node/view/2405/bgimage from the order Opiliones.
They are different from Spiders in that the body appears to have a single segment.
This definitely is a harvestman; it appears to be Dicranopalpus ramosus, a Mediterranean species that seems to be a relatively recent addition to the British fauna - see http://tinyurl.com/29xhlvu for an image. It is the only member of its subfamily (Dicranopalpinae) known from Britain.
