Carpathian Girl,
I truly enjoyed your pictures!! Nice job.

Bonnie,
Your plants are always so lovely.I wish I could figure out this wicking thing, but I just keep killing plants that way.The ones I hand-water do great.

Lynn ^_^

Ottawa, IL(Zone 9a)

Hi Lynn;
I use a very lite mix, lots of pearlite, & i do get some plants that just don't like it, so i have to pull the wicks out for a few days, but all in all, they really seem to do well, can't complain.lol

jamiew love that Fancy trail! I have 2 small ones!

Montgomery, AL

Thanks. I hope to grow fancy trail larger before our March show. wiggiej, how do you grow that columnea? It is gorgeous. This is a columnea 'candelabara' that I've had for one year, with little growth and no bloom. Any advice anyone?

Oh,such beautiful pictures!! I love looking at them.Fancy Trail is darling and I have always loved Firebird.

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

I would take Candelabara out of the pot, check the roots, repot in fresh soil.Make sure the pot is not much bigger than the rootball.Keep it in a sunny window or under lights.Mist and feed it regularly.
Most of them bloom better when slightly potbound.

jamiew -- Haven't done anything in particular with Firebird. Just a nice southern exposure, set back a bit from the window. I think it's just one of those plants that does well unless you poison it or something. Which is why I love it. Have enough persnickety, die if you look at them with a grumpy look on your face type plants. It' s great to have a plant that makes me feel like a real gardener!. If we ever get around to that trade, I've got a small shoot that broke off when the dog knocked it over. It's in some rooting gel now, but if you're interested, just let me know. I think you've inspired me to try the japanese method. I've got a couple trailers and I've been thinking about it for a bit now. Just need to sit down and read the specifics and take an hour or so to get started.

HI Lynn -- Thanks! I love your King Henry. Been meaning to thank you for the link with episcia info. A nice resource I didn't know about.

Hi Maria-- What's that last baby you've got blooming? -- it's really nice. Looks like we've got sibling gloxinias blooming -- the one I got from you is blooming as well and has been for several weeks. What a great plant. It's my first gloxinia, but I"m sure it won't be my last.

Hi Mrsbonnie-- I think I love every single plant you've posted this month. I've been trying to snag "harmony's little stinker" for a bit now. I actually ordered one last spring and they ran out!! :< But I can see it's worth some persistence. And of course Ann is beautiful. I think my favorite is Victorian Print. Haven't seen that one before.

Thanks for sharing everyone!

Ottawa, IL(Zone 9a)

here ya go, if i ever get a sucker off this one or harm. little stinker i will let you know.I can do leaves, but that would not give you a chimera.

To all who have posted pics...They are all gorgeous :) So nice to see your blooms and thanks so much for sharing. Helene, I don't know if she is talking about our thread or something else, but here is what we are/were working on http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1021752/. It takes a long time to do and I think some have given up and others may still be working on theirs.
