CLOSED: I D Please?

This is on the back of a brugmansia leaf. It is only 1/4 of an inch wide, but there seems to be tiny moths or something inside each little cup? The little things inside can not been seen with a naked eye, only when I cropped this pictures for a close up, did I see what's inside!

This is a new one on me. Our regular identification person is away from his computer for a few days. Hopefully he can shed some light on the subject when he returns.

I have to admit that this is a new one on me as well; I doubt seriously that they would be moths. When I have a bit more time, I'll see if I can come up with anything.

Thanks. Will wait to see what anyone comes up with!

This has to be one of the more novel things I've seen this summer. Cant wait to find out what is in the photo.

I can submit it to another web site, but I need your permission to do so.

Let me know.

Hack, if you get permission, try sending to some entemology profs and perhaps the Museum of Natural History at The Smithsonian. I used to take insects and fossils there as a child. The staff seemed to really enjoy doing IDs.

Anyone please feel free to copy it anywhere! I would like to know what it is!

The Green Stinkbug (Chinavia hilarus) has eggs that are pretty similar:

I believe that flatpicket has it solved. The moth-like objects appear to be an integral part of the eggshell; perhaps a remnant of a hinge for the 'cap' of the shell that the emerging nymph forces open?

Oh my goodness, That is it! I have seen them around! Thanks for the info!

Yep, I got the same result, stinkbug egg cases.
