I took this picture this morning while smelling the sweet smell of my wild clematis, what is it?
I think it is upside down and may be a praying mantis-whatever it is I ain't touching it?
What is this thang?
I would leave it alone. It IS a Mantid.

It is an upside down mantid, but I can't make out the head. Not unusual at this time of year 'cause the females usually eat the males during or after copulating and starting with the head. The males can last for quite sometime headless. No joke. :>)
