The Pacific Northwest

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

My husband and I visited the Pacific Northwest for 11 wonderful days. We saw 5 National Parks in Washington, Oregon and California, and went on 2 excursion train rides, one of them a dinner train along the Oregon coast. It was another of our favorite vacations, and I'm sure we missed a lot even though we saw a lot. I had some advice from the good people of the PNW forum for sights to see, and we certainly did see some gorgeous sights.
This was North Cascades NP, Lake Diablo.

It was the only cloudy rainy day of our vacation, so Mt Rainier wasn't out. This is a picture of a picture of Reflection Lakes.

We are now in Oregon, in Parkdale at the end of the train line. Passed lots of apple, pear and cherry orchards.

Sorry Robin, missed your first post, it was great weather, mostly in the 60-70's, it was in the 90's but we were on the coast that day so only 60-70 there. I just noticed not all of my pics have posted, not sure why.

The coast redwoods are taller and thinner than the Sequoias, which are only found in Sequoia NP, which we missed due to a flat tire and bent rim on a Sunday afternoon a few years ago.
