CLOSED: 2010 UNUSUAL SEED SWAP ANNOUNCEMENT

Büllingen, Belgium(Zone 6b)

Elsa, are you a mind reader? As far as I know I never offered the seeds of the Tiarella. I have this plant, but I'm not sure to be able to save seeds from it. And the yellow Cerinthe I'm offering is not for sure the Cerinthe retorta, I got this one in a trade as Cerinthe major Yellow gem. Still trying to find out if it's the C. retorta.

Kilngod, I sent you d-mail

Jonna

Tina - i might be able to locate some goldenseal seeds if you're interested in those, too.

Thumbnail by LazLo
Barbourville, KY(Zone 7a)

I would like to do a little zone challenging with Desert Willow. I would also be interested in yellow yarrow.

Lazlo if you don't get your hairy balls remind me later. I should also have some family jewels (A. fruticosa syn Gomphocarpus fruticosa) in late October.

Alana

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

the yarrow is seeds mixed with chaff - - due to increasing troubles with RA in my right (more dominant) hand its just too difficult for me to clean this collection right down to the seed alone. what i have offered is thouroughly dried however and has been kept that way since collecting seedheads at the end of June.

and, Alana, have you seen a "Family Jewels Tree” (Asclepias physocarpa) . . . just saw it listed on Annie's Annuals & Perennials = = > http://www.anniesannuals.com/plt_lst/lists/search/lst.srch.asp?prodid=122&srch_term=jewels

Gettysburg, PA(Zone 6b)

Lazlo - I would love those if you can get hold of some, any amount.
I may also have monkshood to send you, will check.

Thanks!

Jonna & Karen.... I'm glad to hear you are interested in the cinnamon basil.... it's very beautiful and unusual. I will send all the seeds I have on hand.

Elsa... I also have some lovely breadseed poppies that were so standout in the garden this spring and some pastel spencer sweetpeas that I grew as well.... not so unusual, but if you're interested I am always happy to share with someone who can appreciate them.

Does anyone have some Aethiomema schistosum - fragrant persian stonecrest , Phlox subulata - creeping phlox or Echinacea purpurea - fragrant angel?

Alana - I would love some of the Tangerine Twist poppies! Lovely!!

Nancy

Pretoria, South Africa

Nancy,

I would love some of your breadseed poppies and pastel spencer sweetpea seed. I am growing "Elegant ladies" sweetpeas in my veggie plot at the moment. It is the first year that I had them growing in such abundance - I even have enough flowers to give away, that is, after I have picked myself these huge posies as soon as the previous starts looking sad - and I came to the conclusion that the N-fixing nodules on the bean roots that I left in the bed to beak down during winter made the difference. I will definitely do the same next year...

I've yet to compile the list that I will be sending. But CJ, I have to agree that you do have some seeds that I really want. (I'm not saying that the others aren't interesting, because they are). I just don't think that it's time to send our wish list yet. I just want to ask CJ to please send enough of the following to share, if you can:

Lady slippers
Magic hybrid aster
Stokes aster color wheel
Henry Eihlers Black eyed susan
Cherry Brandy rudbeckia

Snellville, GA(Zone 8a)

Sure thing I have you names down on my list...

Thanks

Büllingen, Belgium(Zone 6b)

Cindy, there is an extra packet of the silverlace fine in my package, but I already sent it to Theresa, so please ask her to send you the seeds. If that's not possible I will send you a packet after the swap.
If you have enough seeds of the lady slipper, I would love to get a packet of it.

Jonna

Barbourville, KY(Zone 7a)

Lazlo,
I have Asclepias physocarpa (synonymous for Gomphocarpus physocarpus), but I won't have seeds in time for this swap-maybe there will be a follow up swap. I grow them for the Monarchs who cover the plants about this time annually.
I also have Asclepias fruticosa which is very similar but when I went out to get a photo the caterpillars had eaten the balls, which are more elongated than physocarpa species. I hope to beat the cats to a few of those seeds too.

Today I received seeds from Elsa123. WOW, those seeds with the bright orange fuzzies are cool looking! Im hoping tomorrow to add more to the website. Have a great day everyone!

Pretoria, South Africa

Teresa,

I am so glad they made it in time. Our mail can sometimes take ages to reach their destination. (I agree, I just love the fuzzies. I love "playing" with the seed. LOL!)

Elsa

Marine City, MI(Zone 5a)

Hello All! Im looking for all kinds of morning glory seeds. If you have any please include them in the swap, no matter how common they are.
