Creepy Bug Found, Please Help

This bug was found in our basement this morning. It was crawling on the carpet. The bug is approximitely 4 mm long. We are located in Eastern Iowa. Does anyone know what this is, it is really freaking me out. Thanks!

This is a nymph of an assassin bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Reduviidae); they are general predators on other small insects/arthropods and thus usually considered beneficial. They can give one a painful (but not dangerous) bite if handled carelessly.
