Rescued from a yard about to be bulldozed a month ago. Now blooming. Any ideas?

Got a d-mail suggesting "Easter Lily", which it resembles, but do they bloom in late August?

My guess would be Easter lily too. Yes they can bloom in August. In fact it is not an uncommon occurrence when people plant them out from an Easter potted display. This species does not require the strong delineated cold spell to initiate flowers or new growth. Other environmental factors can play a roll.
