This summer, I purchased a Gomphocarpus Physocarpus. It's seed pods are ripening and releasing seeds that are very similar to Milkweed seeds. I would like to keep some of these seeds to grow next year. Do I remove the silky fluff, or store and plant them as they are?

Stupid Newbie Question
The fluff is to get them airborn in nature. For saved seed, it doesn't help or hinder. I take it off when I am having problems with the seeds escaping and floating around the house or sticking to my clothes. I found a packet of saved milkweed seed that I wrote "WARNING: Fluff" - I thought "Huh?" and opened the package. They flew/drifted all over the place and I had to chase them down.
Thanks. Do I just pull it off, or is there a trick to it?

I pulled them off individually. I don't know an easy way to do it for large quantities.
Well then, I'll do them individually and save some for myself. I'd be happy to share seeds from this plant if anyone wants to send me a SASE. (They'll come fluffy).
It's a really neat plant. More than 5 feet tall, and baseball sized globes that look like Chinese Lanterns.
Thanks for your help.
