We live in Spain. We bought a bed cover on a recent trip to Morocco and to our surprise a week after having it nicely covering the foot of the bed my wife discovered what you see in the photo. She swears it wasn't there before, which dismisses the idea (maybe) that it was on it before we got it home.
Can anyone tell us exactly what it is ? it's about 3cm long and made of what seems to be a soil/clay like substance
Thanks in advance

This appears to be a cell constructed by a solitary wasp as a nursery ('nest') for its young.
'solitary' is good! Means we won't wake up in the morning with a swarm of them in the bed.
Thanks for the help
