Was watering my compost and this little feller came out . It looked like a horn worm without the horn and smaller . It has a pattern on it's back but you can only see half of it , kinda one stripe ,points down and to the back closer to the belly . It tried to get back into the compost so I put him in this pot and covered him . He is happy to stay hidden .What is he ?
Worm or caterpillar
Sorry , the stripe goes toward the head as it gets further toward the belly. I'll try to get a better picture if you want

This looks like a moth caterpillar, possibly in the family Notodontidae, but the image is too small to see enough detail for a positive identification.
I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow . My first post about another caterpiller taught me to save them , not let them go . Yet .
