The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog.
(It contains all the letters of the English alphabet)

Spell in words, 1-100. One, two....hundred.
(what is so special here?

What 10-letter-word can you type out using only the row which is below the numbers on the typewriter-keyboard?
TYPEWRITER

>>Answer to the second one: It does not contain the letter "a" anywhere between 1-100!

Yes it is,good one Dinu:D

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Thanks, DINU now you got me thinking there has to be another 10 letter word in that row!

I like words that I can completely type with my left hand.

Example: star wars. My first name is also typed entirely with the left hand.

On a standard "qwerty" keyboard, there are 1,447 English words that are typed solely with the left hand. There are only 187 words typed with the right hand alone.

VERY interesting, Dinu! Yeah, you got me trying to figure out another long word on that row, too!

Dave, I guess the guy who came up with the qwerty keyboard was a lefty? ;-)

Dave, What I really want is a SPELL CHECKER on here! My keyboard is messing up, typing double letters a lot...and yes, I have used the canned air and went in and set the thingy that you're supposed to set. Of course, I was absent from school the day we learned to spell too!! I think that was the same day we learned the "times" tables too!And the......never mind. I just wish I hadn't missed that day. High Springs, FL(Zone 8b)

Dinu, now that you mention it, I can't think of any number less than one thousand (1,000) that has an "a" in the English spelling. (Unless you say "one hundred AND one" instead of "one hundred one, one hundred two" and so on.)

Am I correct?

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Right!
