I got up thought I might have been bitten by something, my face was swollen and hot. I looked in the bed and found the bug in this image. Some people I have showed it to seem to think that its a wasp. I have never seen a green wasp but the sting mark on my foot and the symptoms I have feel like that could be an accurate guess. Anyone out there know what this is!?
This doesn't look much like a wasp; it more resembles the mangled remains of a katydid-like insect in the order Orthoptera( grasshoppers, crickets, etc.). many of these have powerful jaws capable of giving one a quite painful bite.
