Tina, if you are going, would you mind taking my water plants to Karen? I can bring them to you in Arlington, or if that doesn't work, I can bring them to you.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

I will try to reserve our spot at Love's.
Cooler weather by then so it will be nice.
I hope that we can go out and see the Master Gardener's projects.
Arboretum, Demonstration Garden and Outdoor Classroom.
We have a Scarecrow Trail event starting Oct. 16 so they will still be on the trails.
Maybe those that want can go out there after lunch.
Here are some ears in the Tropical area of the garden.
DD
We will have our Fall Plant Sale on Sept. 18 for those that can make it.

I have to see what survives thru this dang heat as none of my fall veggie seeds are even making it in the backroom of the house :(

Woodville, TX

Just got a netbook & got hooked up to Hughes.net, so I have a faster internet. I'm hoping to make the fall RU. Glad to see that it is still going on! Hope I will have some plants to bring. My daylilies suffered in the heat and intermittent drought. God bless ya'll and I'm looking forward to Sat. Oct. 23rd! Howdy, neighbor Becky!

Hi, Becky, Glad to know you're still kicking! LOL How's DH, Lyle? Jack says he's looking forward to the RU, too! His back has been giving him some trouble this summer; it's from working too hard in the vegetable gardens for our Gardeners for Jesus project! He doesn't know when to quit!! Looking forward to seeing you soon! I've kept your Oak Leaf Coleus from cuttings going for 2 years now.

What time does this thing start. I don't have a wide selection of plants but will have 3 coral beans(about a couple of feet high, some frostweed about a foot and 1/2 high, some annise hyssop, red salvia coccinea, sneezeweed, and wild petunia (either nudiflora or carolinus. I hope someone has a bunch of sassafras trees there. I need them for the butterfly larvae.
Jameso

Longview, TX

Add some turkscaps to that list.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello James!! I am so glad you are still active on DG. I haven't seen you posting for a while.
I can see that you are focusing on butterflies, and I think that is great, you are such a good and generous gardener.
I have received many wonderful plants from you and I am very grateful for them.

I don't think I will make it to this RU, I just have too many things going and i am worn out.
Sorry Guys, I guess I will have to see you all in the spring.
Josephine.

Longview, TX

Josephine
Its taken me awhile to heal up and gain my weight back. I had actually planned on making the Arlington trade this year but I'm not sure I'll be back in time. Do you still need the "noseburn;' plant. If so if there's someone you know that's going to be there I can deliver it to them.
James

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, I didn't know you hadn't been well, I hope you are o.k. now.
Yes, I do need the noseburn, I will see if someone from here is going to ETRU and they can get it for me, thank yo very much.
Josephine.

Caddo Mills, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephiine,
I'm going to both and dont have a problem bringing the plants to you. I go to Fort Worth at least once a month so i can drop off to you anytime. Tina

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you very much Tina.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

James, I have Sassafras seedlings growing in my yard and I can bring you as many as I can find.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

(((((JAMES))))) it's soo good to see you in here.
I've wondered how you were doing and if you were still here
I wasn't sure how often you got on and if you would get a message... my bad for not having sent something to check on you.

We'll have to chat at the RU

Sorry I don't have any Sassafras this year hubby has pretty much kept things at bay with mowing

Longview, TX

Phyllis

I had planned on getting to the last trade meeting but I just didn't feel well. It would have scared you to death to see me..I was down 56 pounds. I've gained most of it back now. I was wondering if your parents went to the Valley again. I still go there every month but a lady in Dave's garden is a custom or border agent down there and she's advising against crossing over. Reynosia had three bombings last month so I guess I'll stay on the U S sided. I look forward to visiting with you.

I will appreciate the sassafras seedlings. I've got two small trees but they've already got 5 catapillars on them so I've guessing soon there won't be any leaves left on them. the new ones will come in handly next year.

Longview, TX

TINA_a

I'll search for you and give you the noseburn for Josephine.

Jameso

James, you are so sweet, do you need any plants from me?

Longview, TX

Josephine
I'll look at my needs & email you if I need anything. I've got to leave for Charleston, South Carolina tomorrow for a week. One of the ships I was on in the navy is having a reunion so I'm have some time at night there to do a little thinking.
James

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

That is great James, have a super time at your reunion.

Caddo Mills, TX(Zone 8a)

Jameso,
Can I please have your anise hyssop and the red salvia coccinea?
Tina

Longview, TX
