Cool!
that is what i thought - ran to get the camera - thought the snake would bring dinner inside the wall.
amazing you caught that on camera Bill
ICK!!!!! What kind of snake is that?
A hungry one.
LOL
just a garder :) will have to see if it is there tomorrow - the frog looked to big to swallow :)
Nice pictures Bill...gonna have nightmares now :(
Ewww. The only death and destruction I like to see in the garden is me crunching beetles. Very cool you got the shots though.
I'm surprised he let you take all those photos....trusting snake! Am getting loads of tomatoes, cukes have stopped, beans are overgrown....have to get in the garden & work....
not sure if the snake had a choice - its mouth was pretty full :)
canned six jars of pickles last night - t's have just started to turn here.
COOL! GO snake GO! I like snakes. Thanks for posting the pics wha. Well cuz the second fledge of robinlets did a number on the cherries I didn't harvest them for jam so as usual Dee and Chic are geting smashed on them as they forment. SO I have put the postit on the walkout door again this year: "Watch where you step. Tipsy Chickadees staggering about". (snort)
might have to reproduce that picture when the chocolates from the great white north show up :)
Huh?
Wish I was in the area, Pixie! Those melons would magically disappear. Dnut, I've had a tipsy cedar waxwing in my cherry tree!
drooooool fresh corn drooooool. I've been getting it fresh from the fields at the market but not the same as fresh from your very own field. RD I have no cedar waxwings in my garden which I don't get cuz they are all about so I should see some. ps. chocolate is coming by Canadian Goose wha. Hopefully it will land at your pond by the end of the week.
Oh boy pixie, gonna be some good eatin' up your way for sure.
D-nut those chicadoodles must be a riot to watch, love the sign.
Going to make blackberry sorbet tonight and pick black chokecherries and try making jam with them over the weekend. (I am such a pioneer! LOL)
Good for you, Memory....let me know how the jam turns out....I tried once, but it was too bitter....must be some trick to it.
Very nice, Celeste! Especially the watermelon.
had a very positive review of the edibles in our veggy garden - the deer found it and ate all the swiss chard, lettuce, nibbled on the carrot tops, and ate most of the cuke leaves although they left mehind the blossoms so i hope they will continue to grow.
this is the first time that has happen to our v. garden - i have friends willing to rid me of them.
I hope your veggies recover and the bambi mob does not return Bill. You may need a moat now that they know what tasty items are there. They are leaving our new grape vines alone but I doubt they will when there are grapes to be had on them.
Oh, no....sorry, Bill.....will bars of soap keep them at bay? Tried my new Black Cherry tomato today....not as sweet as I thought it would be.
Bill - my cats like venison - well they like it in the can anyway - we can't buy venison in CT. That "dwarf" crabapple tree you gave me has grown about 8" so far.
RD the black cherry I have has a smokey taste. Very delightful.
wow memory that is big! i have another still in a pot and it is not that big.
you did not tell me you had cougars for cats!
I moved it into a bigger pot when I got it home. I have mini-cougars. LOL But they do like their duck and venison cat food. Heck - I'd probably like their duck cat food...
You are feeding them the good stuff, Memory......my granddog, Oliver gets salmon kibble.
must be a big pot! i think the one i have here is on 3' although still in a little pot.
