This appears to be a gray petaltail, Tachopteryx thoreyi (Odonata: Petaluridae) - see http://tinyurl.com/2etjcsz for an image. This seems to be a rather uncommon species; see http://tinyurl.com/2dof2mc for known distribution in Illinois.
