This little guy had just hatched I think since it was sitting to what looked like an empty eggsack. He is currently munching on my Maypop passionvine. Any help is appreciated, THANKS!
CLOSED: What type of Caterpillar?
It looks to me like the caterpillar of a Gulf Fritillary (Agraulis vanillae). According to my reference book, they eat passion-vine.
This appears to be a larva of a gulf fritillary, Agraulis vanillae incarnata (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) - see http://tinyurl.com/24pgao9 for images and detailed information,
Thank yall very much! I will mark it as solved.
