I found him clinging to my shed door. He looks mean.

This is a completely harmless shed 'skin' (exoskeleton) of a cicada nymph. When these insects emerge from their underground haunts, they climb any nearby convenient surface before emerging in its winged adult finery.

That's funny, I just found one of these myself today. I figured that's what it was.
