Brownish spider one and a half inches wide. In house
This spider is in the family Sparassidae (huntsman/giant crab spiders); likely in the genus Olios - see http://tinyurl.com/23sovgz for an example. They can deliver a painful (but not dangerous) bite if mishandled.
I guess I should put her out then. I thought if she did not deliver a painful bite I'd let her live in the house with me. No web seems to be spun and she slowly crawls down the wall at night
There spiders do not appear to be aggressive; you should be in little danger of being bitten if you do not try to pick one up. Like wolf spiders, they are active hunters that stalk their prey rather than spin a capture web.
