CLOSED: Identify This Spider Please

Bennington, NE

It's a very pretty spider and has made a dwelling at my garage entrance. Tried looking for anything close to it on the net, but ended up coming here. It's not very big. It's about 2" from the tip of one leg to the tip of the opposite leg. Garden spider? Cross spider? Dangerous or not? Located in Omaha Nebraska.

This is an immature orb weaving spider (family Araneidae) in the genus Argiope, which includes the common black and yellow 'garden spider.' All these spiders are harmless to humans.
