I'm moving & losing my charming silverbell shrub (too large to transplant) It is loaded with winged seed pods. I want to try germinating some. This is a special silverbell - varigated foliage. I've looked at one nursery listing it - very expensive! I will share/trade seeds - but need to know when to remove from tree. Don't know about ripening - stratification - or plant fresh?
Halesia - silverbell - seed germination
Now you can collect the seed. You should sow it out now because older seed needs up to two years for germination. Stratification is required. I am interested in some seed of your variegated silverbell :)
Best regards
