The bright color and bulbous shape should be helpful in identifying this 5/8" long beetle I saw in my yard. I'd appreciate any help.
CLOSED: Yellow beetle
This has the general shape and appearance of a larger elm leaf beetle, Monocesta coryli (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae. This species usually has fairly large dark markings on its wing covers, but immaculate specimens occasionally are seen - see http://tinyurl.com/2c7b67t for an example.
