Yeah, I've got 2 inflos on 1 cutting that still doesn't have roots. I'll try the grow lights and heat pad with mine when I have to take it in.
looking good!
I hear you loud and clear on that, Lily!!
yeah, that's why i try not and complain and just enjoy it for the sake of the plants. i would that the winters never dropped below 60 degrees. hmmm...guess i'd have to move to hawai'i.
You know, Hawaii isn't such a bad place! Seems all the plants we love do great there. :)
oddly, there are some places on the islands where plumeria don't do well.
it seems like it would be too easy to grow plants. lol
TCP, it's all in the soil and water! Those poor plants have to deal with the larva rock and salt water (of the ocean) thus perhaps they didn't fare to well?
I visited the Big Island and Maui this early spring and saw some plumeria there grow out of larva rocks, the sight was amazing!
i heard that they like the lava rock. the salt spray can be a problem. the parts of the island where it is really rainy don't make for good plumeria growth. must be combined cloudy conditions, too. they are also a sight to behold in their native desert environment. too bad that ppl always associate them with hawai'i considering they didn't see their first plumeria until around 1860.
