There are at least three species of swallowtail butterfly that can have this general appearance; yous most likely is a dark form of the eastern tiger swallowtail, Papilio glaucus - see http://tinyurl.com/2bcp8ae for an example.

No wonder I couldn't find anything that looked just like it! I have seen the Eastern Tiger Swallowtails here before, too.
