CLOSED: looks similar to banana spider but the colors r different

she ( or he) is as large as a (what i call) a banana spider but the colors ( redish orange and a white thorax ? ). maybe the same family but a different genus ?

thanks a bunch, she is more beautiful to me, than the yellow and seems a tad larger then all my other yellow ones of the same 'age'

Although "banana spider" is included among the common names for Argiope aurantia, it more frequently is associated with the golden silk spider, Nephila clavipes in the USA - see http://tinyurl.com/285xq7z for an image. These spiders once were considered to belong to the same family (Araneidae), but the golden silk spider since has been transferred to the Tetragnathidae (long-jawed orb weavers) and finally to Nephilidae.
