This cabbage butterfly was going from flower to flower in my garden with the other one attached as you can see in the picture. I can't figure it out. The one that was flying didn't seem to be hindered by its rider!

It's simply a mating pair. The female usually is larger, and sometimes takes the male for a ride, so to speak..
