I have never seen anything like it before.
I just found this in my house. What is it?!
This is an arachnid in the order Solifugae; they go by a wide variety of common names, including solifuges, solifugids, solpugids, camel spiders, wind scorpions or sun spiders. They most commonly are found in desert/semi-arid regions where they are active mostly at night, hunting for prey (mostly other arthropods, but occasionally small vertebrates such as lizards and the like). They lack venom, depending on their strong jaws to subdue prey. They can deliver a painful bite with these jaws if mishandled, but otherwise are harmless to humans.
