Large beetle (almost 2"). Taken with flash on outside of kitchen window.

This is a long-horned wood-boring beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) in the subfamily Prioninae. The image is too fuzzy to be certain of its identity; it looks a bit like Orthosoma brunneum - see http://tinyurl.com/297f44p for an image. The larvae of some prionids can be serious pests in tree nurseries and orchards, feeding on the roots of trees.
