Thanks for the compliments on my gardens! :-) I really do try to be earth-friendly in many ways, not just in the garden. Whatever I use will affect me directly. But I just can't go chemical-less. I haven't found anything to compare to the few chemicals I use. Since I get my drinking water from a well in my gardens, I'm very conscious of what I put in the ground. For instance, I don't use moth balls or Snake Away to deter snakes. Moth balls are some of the worst things you can use for the environment.
I do have lots of energy. I'm actually hyperactive, according to my doc. But I get a lot done. Even with temps reaching 105 and a heat index of 119, I still work outside from about 7 a.m. til about noon. It's really getting unbearable out there. We have a cold front moving in in a couple of days, so things will "cool off" to the upper 90's. Ahhhh, relief! It's not often that 95 feels "cool". LOL
What divides your yard from your gardens, I need a clue.
