Yes ,I dont understand why yours wouldnt. Did you plant them too deep?
Mine were a different variety and also they were planted the fall before the the cold and very wet season last year. I think I will try 'Lucifer' in a different location.
Hi, all. I've been sort of away.
I got this Asclipias Incarnata at Karen's Roundup last summer. Let me send out a BIG Thank You to who ever brought it in for trade. Sorry I forgot who.
It's 3 feet tall and been blooming for weeks with lots more buds coming, fragrant too. Cool looking bugs love it too.
This pic is a couple weeks old.

Pat!! Lusifer is supposed yo be an iron horse and not THAT finnicky. I have some yellows that are a big clump but refuse to bloom either that or they bloom after L.Dont give up they are an elegant and dramatic plant.
